Clark Metal Products receives Employer of the Year Award

Clark Metal Products, Blairsville, Ind., has received an Employer of the Year Award from the Tri-County Workforce Investment Board Inc. The award recognizes employers that have contributed significantly to the workforce development system in Armstrong, Indiana, and Butler counties.

Clark Metal, which offers design and prototyping services, custom fabrication, machining, finishing, and inventory management systems, worked to promote National Manufacturing Day in 2012 and 2013 by hosting students, teachers, and community members. The company works with the technical centers in Indiana and Westmoreland counties for co-op experiences and offers plant tours to youths.

Clark also has an extensive orientation and training program, as well as continual cross-training to help ensure employee knowledge of procedures. The company is a member of the Indiana County Manufacturing Consortium and has set up training activities for multiple manufacturers in Indiana County.
