September Chapter Meeting and Lunch Presentation with Jonna Contacos-Sawyer on the ROI of Communication

Presentation summary: A strong relationship exists between superior financial performance and effective communication.  Ineffective or a lack of communication,  results in 7 weeks of lost productivity per employee per year.  Companies with high effectiveness scores in communication and change management are three and a half times more likely to significantly outperform their industry peers than firms that are not effective in these areas according to a Towers Watson 2013-2014 Change and Communication ROI Study Report.

Participants will learn how to specifically improve communication effectiveness  by first understanding the foundation of cultural and behavioral awareness as it relates to business strategy.  The training will also provide a review of the essentials of communication and emphasize the importance of providing communication skill training for all managers as part of an ongoing talent management strategy to improve organizational, team, and individual performance.
