Session Summary: November Chapter Meeting and Lunch Presentation with Jim Southworth on Medical Marijuana’s Impact on the Workplace in our Commonwealth.
This presentation focuses on the changes to the workplace now that Pennsylvania has legalized medical marijuana. This will affect drug testing policies and procedures, and employers need to be prepared for positive cannabis tests.
Speaker Biography: Jim Southworth is an attorney with the law firm of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, practicing almost exclusively in the area of labor/employment. He has been in practice for more than a decade, and prior to that he was an HR manager in a hospital in the state of Indiana. He is a litigator, but also provides advice and counsel on a daily basis to assist employers from avoiding litigation. His experience in human resources enables him to better understand his clients needs and provide practical real world advice.
