Kristine is a survivor of rape. It has been almost 14 years since the incident but in that time, she has taken time to heal, grow, and learn who she truly is. She is a Wife, Mother, and Advocate for Ending Sexual Violence and changing our culture. Kristine found that one way to heal from her experience of sexual violence was through speaking about it. In 2006 she joined RAINN's (Rape, Abuse, Incest Nation Network) Speaker's Bureau, and began the next step in her healing process. Since 2006, she has spoken at the University of Delaware, University of Pittsburgh, Penn State University, Bowling Green State University, Point Park University was featured on the Pace per Mile podcast and was interviewed by Pittsburgh 100.7 Star's very own Melanie Taylor, and Kelly. Kristine is finishing her first book titled: Voices of Hope. In 2015, Kristine began an organization called Voices of Hope(VOH). The organization recently joined forces with her family's non-profit, Wings of Hope. VOH is now a subsidiary of Wing of Hope. So far Voices of Hope has been able to help numerous people in many ways including: collecting over 300 Christmas cards to be sent to Rape Crisis Centers throughout the United States, and they collected sanitary items and clothing for women's shelters. Voices of Hope's most recent project is the "Consent Coaster Campaign," which kicked off in 2017 during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. They were able to distribute 5,000+ coasters that educated on consent to 5 Pittsburgh Restaurants, and to schools and organizations nationwide. Kristine resides in Pittsburgh with her loving husband, son, and daughter.
