The 2017 SHRM Student Case Competition and Career Summit is the premier student HR conference held in the United States with the opportunity of 30 teams to compete from all over the country. This year the eastern conference is being held in Philadelphia, PA. The conference has two focuses for the HR students: First the Case Competition; students are exposed to realistic problems that may encounter in the workplace. Students must present solutions by using strategic thinking, ethical decision-making, and strong leadership skills. Second, the Career Connection Zone provides HR students the opportunity to connect and expand their network with HR professionals and peers. SHRM is looking for volunteers to help judge the cases, interview and connect with the HR students, and maintain registration tables. This event will enhance your perspective on what it means to be a member of the HR community and prepare HR students to advance professionally.
