Kelly Shade will be joining us on Friday, September 18th to discuss Strategic Compensation!

Kelly Shade has been in the human resources field for over 30 years.  She began her career in the healthcare industry, starting as an Administrative Assistant while working her way through college.  She quickly progressed to managing the recruitment and sourcing area for a 200-bed healthcare facility.  She also worked within the benefits and compensation area, ensuring fair and equitable salary and benefit packages.

In 1997, Kelly transitioned her career from the healthcare industry to the retail industry, working for the 3rd largest grocery retailer, Ahold.  In the retail industry, her career veered towards compensation, benefits and HR systems.  During her time with Ahold, she provided strategic guidance, coaching and development for issues related to global compensation, fixed and variable pay programs, HR workforce systems and payroll management.   Kelly developed and directed a broad spectrum of compensation programs for approximately 40,000 employees in corporate, distribution, pharmacy and retail grocery positions.

Kelly started her own consulting business in 2019.   She enjoys helping her clients reach their strategic goals while providing guidance on total rewards, organizational design, change management and emotional intelligence.

In addition to her professional experience, Kelly enjoys teaching at St. Francis University as an Adjunct Professor for the Master’s in Human Resources program.

Kelly’s Undergraduate degree is in business management with an emphasis in Human Resources from York College of PA.  Her Master’s degree is in Human Resources from St. Francis University.  She also holds her SCP from the Society of Human Resources Management and is certified in Compensation and Benefits from WorldAtWork.
