We will be meeting Thursday June 20 at 8:30AM at the Hilton Garden Inn. A continential breakfast will be provided.
This Month Cory Fairman will present on Verbal De-escalation Techniques. Attendees will walk away from this session with some basic information and techniques on how to reduce the level of conflict in escalating behavioral situations; Thus increasing the level of safety for everyone involved.
Cory Fairman is a law enforcement and security professional with over 17 years experience in the field of safety and security. He is an Act 120 Pennsylvania certified Police Officer for the past 12 years and has worked in Campus Security for the past 14 years.
Mr. Fairman holds a Master of science degree in criminal justice w/ concentration in public safety administration
Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice w/ concentration in Police Administration and Operations
Associate Degree in Criminal Justice
He currently teaches as a Police Academy Instructor and Adjunct Criminal Justice Instructor for Pennsylvania Highlands Community College.
He is also a Certified A.L.I.C.E Active Shooter Instructor
Act 235 Pennsylvania Certified Agent with Lethal Weapons
Certified through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Active Assault Response
Certified Crisis Intervention Officer (CIT)
Certified by the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare in Mental health first-aid.
